Repair Pack iFoneguide

I have published a repair pack for the Settings app. Somehow many users have a problem with this package.

To make things clear!: I don’t have this problem. I installed the package for numerous times now, and it just works. I do not know what you all have installed which may interfeir with this package.

Essentially, following happens:

- Preferences.app contents get deleted.

- Preferences.app folder gets deleted.

- A new, fresh Preferences.app is being installed.

This can’t go wrong. If you have done something else, like removed the Preferences.app yourself, the install will fail. If I have a chance fixing this I will, but at the moment my notebook is dead and I am waiting for my new MacBook Pro! Meanwhile you can install the package manually.

Download the package from this article. Only do this if you know what SSH does and means.

You’ll probably have to reinstall the Extended Preferences, set everything back to default and then use the Tweaks 2.1 Extended. Good luck!

I alos have issues with the repair pack.

I think a lot of users decided to remove Extended Preferences and use Ifoneguide’s Tweaks 2.1 Extended. When i removed Extended Preferences from both Winterboard and Cydia, it was not removed correctly because the digital battery and WLAN counter were still being displayed. I still installed Tweaks 2.1 Extended after this and enabled it in Winterboard. Becaus i couldn’t notice any difference between Extended Preferences and Tweaks 2.1 Extended, i decided to run your Repair Pack, maybe something was wrong as you might imagine. This didn’t fix anything, i expected to have no digital battery and wlan counters anymore but there still are, even without having Tweaks 2.1 enabled or installed?!
